MAA provides PHE approved COVID-19 PCR tests from a UKAS accredited laboratory, the results of this test can take up to 72 hours.

COVID-19 Antibody Testing

Antibody tests are used to detect if you have had the infection in the past. Your symptoms must have fully cleared up for at least 14 days prior to this test being carried out. The Covid-19 antibody test will be performed by a doctor or a healthcare professional at our premises.

COVID-19 Antigen Testing (AKA Rapid Test)
This test detects the presence of SARS CoV-2, this test looks for traces of the virus, more specifically the nucleocapsid protein antigen specific to COVID-19. This is different to the RT-PCR, the RT-PCR looks for the genetic part of the virus (RNA), while the antigen testing looks for a protein particle of the virus. You will receive your results and a certificate by email within 2 hours.

All the tests we use have been assessed by Public Health England; we follow the government’s advice and guidelines in all our testing processes. Please note that no current Covid 19 tests are 100% accurate.
